Welcome to the course website for CS101 (Section 6 & 7). Here you will find all the necessary information to help you as the course proceeds. Course Description

This is the first course in a series of programming courses offered at LUMS. Students are introduced to the field of computing and fundamentals of programming. Visual Basic is used as the programming language. First two weeks of the course are mainly devoted to the history of computing, number systems, introducing computers, program development cycle and tools, and the Integrated Development Environment (IDE) of Visual Basic 6. Rest of the time is devoted in building basic programming concepts and familiarizing students with Visual Basic 6 programming.

Goals 

Introduce computers and computer programming in an interesting way. 
Familiarize students with basics of programming using Visual Basic 6. 
Prepare students for the next level programming courses.
